Weddings and private celebrations
St John’s offers a distinctive setting for wedding ceremonies, services of prayer and dedication, drinks receptions and dinners. The church normally seats around 200 guests, with additional seating possible in the aisles. The building includes underfloor heating, a small kitchen, wine cooler and refurbished lavatories. The forecourt may also be available for guest parking or large vehicles, subject to agreement.
Wedding eligibility and ceremony arrangements should be discussed directly with the church team, as Church of England requirements may apply.
Corporate events, concerts and exhibitions
The quiet Hyde Park Estate setting creates a useful environment for conferences, presentations, rehearsals and performances, with minimal external noise intrusion. The high central aisle rises to approximately 18 metres, while the stone floor, natural light and adaptable open space provide a strong setting for concerts, theatre, dance and large-scale installations.
Sound, lighting and event production
The venue has adjustable electrical lighting and numerous power outlets throughout the building. London Sound and Light can provide event sound systems, microphones, presentation audio, architectural and decorative lighting, staging, DJ systems and on-site technical support, planned around the church layout and the requirements of the event.
